The Black Friday Paradox

Every November we have the same conversation with ourselves:

"Are we hypocrites for having a Black Friday sale?"

The tension is real. Here we are, a company built on reducing waste and plastic pollution, getting ready to participate in the biggest consumption event of the year. A day where 80% of purchases end up in landfills (source). Where the average fast-fashion item gets worn seven times before being tossed. Where the typical American discards 81 pounds of clothing annually.

The math seems impossible to reconcile.

But twelve years of making plastic-free hair accessories teaches you something: Change doesn't happen in a vacuum. It happens when better choices become accessible choices.

Here's what we know: When we tested our hair ties against every leading brand in America, they proved 2-6 times stronger. (Yes, we actually had scientists testing hair ties!)

Each pack we sell replaces dozens of plastic alternatives. Each fair trade partnership supports families through ethical employment. Each conscious purchase proves that better is possible.

And that's the key.

Growth can't just be seen as the enemy of conscious business—it's also an important catalyst for change. More sales mean more suppliers and farmers uplifted, more plastic prevented from entering our oceans, more proof that accountability to both planet and people is possible in fashion.
