They're built for the "average" ponytail, which works fine until you're styling fine hair, sectioning a half-up look, finishing a braid, or navigating your kid's morning pigtails.
We went back to our fourth-generation partners in Japan — the same master rope-makers who craft our signature Rounds, Pearl, Bracelet, and Crochet hair ties — with a specific request: same industrial-strength hold and gentle organic fibres, but in a sleeker, more intentional gauge.
The result is a dual-sized pack built for the details.
The Mini is for tight, precise work — braids, twists, and intricate updos that need a delicate touch.
The Midi fits most wrists comfortably and handles versatile everyday wear — low ponytails, half-up styles, and fine to medium hair that doesn't need the bulk of a standard tie.
Both sizes use the same gauge elastic, differing only in circumference. Same performance, same strength, same longevity — you're just finally getting the right size for the specific job.
One more thing: we heard your feedback on the previous generation. These have a slightly larger circumference than the original Minis, making them significantly easier to manoeuvre for creative styling.

The problem with most small-diameter hair ties is the material.
To get them that tiny, manufacturers almost always lean on cheap synthetics or bare plastic. Those synthetic fibres generate friction and static charge against the hair cuticle — lifting the protective scales that keep hair shiny and strong. On fine hair, that friction is felt most acutely: more frizz, more snagging, more breakage at the tie line.
Our Mini and Midi ties are made from the same long-staple organic cotton you've come to trust. Its naturally smoother surface creates significantly less friction against the hair cuticle than synthetic alternatives — hair glides rather than catches, cuticle scales stay flatter, and fine strands are treated with the care they deserve.
Every tie is dyed using OEKO-TEX certified non-toxic dyes — independently verified to meet safety thresholds that conventional hair tie dyes simply don't have to meet. For something that sits against your hairline all day, that standard matters.
